What is the psychological impact of predictive testing for genetic susceptibility to breast and ovarian cancer? What are the factors influencing test uptake and impact? What is the psychological impact of genetic counselling?

Outline
We are collaborating with Cancer Research UK's Family Cancer Genetics Group at Guy's, King's and St Thomas' School of Medicine in undertaking a questionnaire-based study which is prospective to examine the factors which influence women agreeing to have predictive testing and the psychological impact of this predictive testing.
